GREEN LIGHT - QUALIFIES FOR POST SALE CHECKLIST
Vehicles that sell with green light status, and above $2500, allow the successful buyer to have a post sale checklist performed by an independent licensed garage.
WHAT DOES THE POST SALE CHECKLIST COVER?
- Functionality road test that verifies engine, transmission performance as well as AWD or 4x4 (if applicable).
- Vehicle is put on a hoist where the frame, supports and rocker panels are inspected.
- The driveshaft, axles, engine and transmission are also inspected for any leaks.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE POST SALE CHECKLIST?
Motor vehicle inspection items such as (but not limited to) brakes, ball joints, suspensions, tires, exhaust systems, lights, air conditioners and convenience items (cruise control, radios, power mirrors, etc). The post sale checklist is in place to verify the fitness of the major components.
WHAT IF SOMETHING IS FOUND? - If one of the major components is found to have a defect that exceeds $750.00 (pre tax) in repairs, the buyer has the option to...
- Outright cancel the sale or
- Negotiate a new selling price with the consignor
If the sale is cancelled, the buyer will be refunded in full (including buyers fee and administration fees) however the post sale checklist fee is non-refundable.
WHAT IS THE COST? Vehicles sold between $2500-$6000 post sale fee is $154.88 (+HST). Vehicles sold above $6000 post sale see is $104.88 (+HST). (Non-Refundable)
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO DECIDE IF I WANT A POST SALE CHECKLIST PERFORMED? Buyers will be asked upon acceptance of full payment if they want a post sale checklist performed.
WHAT IF I ELECT NOT TO HAVE A POST SALE CHECKLIST PERFORMED? - If you elect to not have a post sale checklist performed, you will acknowledge (by initial) on your sales agreement that you declined and the vehicle status will changed to RED LIGHT - SOLD AS IS.
